Aronia jelly extra is from the pure juice of chokeberry.
Aronia is a shrub with a growth height of 1 to 2m, which originates from eastern North America. The berries, about the size of a pea, have a sweet-sour-tart taste and are similar to blueberries in flavor. They have a high content of vitamin B2 and vitamin C.
All our jellies, jams and marmalades are not mass-produced, but lovingly handmade from production to bottling and labeling. The majority of the juices used for our jellies come from Germany.
With over 20 varieties, there is a jelly to suit every taste.
Instead of conventional white sugar, we use only brown cane sugar, which gives our chokeberry jelly extra an incomparable taste with a slight hint of caramel.
Rounded off with fresh lemon juice instead of industrially produced citric acid, the natural acidity of chokeberry and its very intense fruity aroma is perfectly highlighted in taste.
Our chokeberry jelly extra is not only a treat on the morning breakfast bread, but also ideal as a filling for cakes, pies, pastries or cookies, but also to refine for pudding or ice cream desserts.
Our tip: On freshly toasted white bread or with Kaiserschmarrn some chokeberry jelly extra.
