description
Sweet paprika is an all-rounder and a must in every kitchen!
Paprika is a nightshade plant and originally comes from Central and South America. Of the approx. 25 varieties, only 5 have been domesticated, all others are original varieties. Paprika was already being cultivated around 5,000 BC and quickly spread around the world after the discovery of America.
Today, however, paprika is mostly associated with Hungary, as paprika is the national spice there. Hungarian goulash in particular is world-famous and is available in many different varieties. Every family has its own secret recipe.
Ideal for stews, sauces or marinades and, of course, for classic goulash. But also the perfect seasoning for homemade potato potato chips. As the name sweet paprika suggests, the taste is pleasantly fruity and mild.
Kitchen tip: spice up a Bavarian sausage salad or Swiss cheese salad with a pinch of sweet paprika.
Hand-filled in our elegant aroma bag with viewing window and practical clip closure.
