Fried potatoes are a staple in many kitchens. In Bavarian cuisine in particular, fried potatoes are indispensable as a side dish for various classic dishes such as breaded schnitzel, roast pork or pork knuckle.
Classic Bavarian fried potatoes are prepared with parsley and/or chives as well as pepper and paprika. The real kick, however, is the fried onions, which add a subtle onion flavor to the fried potatoes.
Roast potatoes are also the perfect side dish for dishes such as a Bavarian Leberkäs pan, steak with beans and roast potatoes, fried egg with roast potatoes or a Tex-Mex pan.
Or try a casserole with roast potatoes, sliced carrots and peas and our roast potato seasoning mix, pour a béchamel sauce over everything and bake in the oven at 180° C for 30-45 minutes.
