Shawarma is an Arabic speciality made from marinated slices of meat.
Originally only used for mutton and lamb, it is now also used for beef and chicken. Like doner kebab or gyros, the meat is cut into thin slices and served in a thin flatbread as a snack. The difference is that gyros and döner are seasoned shortly before serving, but with shawarma the pieces of meat are marinated in a spice mixture before grilling.
With our finely tuned mixture, you can easily bring Arabic flair into your kitchen. If you're in a hurry and traditional preparation takes too long, use shawarma as a seasoning by sprinkling it directly on your meat, whether for grilling, roasting or in a roasting tin.

Our tip: Make a marinade from lemon juice, olive oil and our shawarma spice preparation and marinate thinly sliced meat for a few hours. This is the perfect way to achieve the typical slightly sour flavour of shawarma.
